Walton Hall and Gardens will be transformed into a rainbow of smiley, happy people raising money for St. Rocco’s Hospice on Sunday 11th May; and it’s not too late to join in!
Participants can run, skip or walk their way around a 3km route with brightly coloured powdered paint being showered over them at regular intervals.
This event really is fun for all the family and is the perfect way to support St. Rocco’s Hospice as they celebrate 40 years of caring this May.
Everyone who signs up will receive a pouch of powdered paint, sunglasses and goody bag along with being presented with a medal with lots of cheers at the finish line!
We spoke to Sarah who has signed up for the first time this year and she is looking forward to taking part with her granddaughter, Ella: “I have never done anything like this before, but I know we will have so much fun! I am looking forward to being covered in paint knowing I have helped to raise money for patient care at the hospice. St. Rocco’s looked after my aunty Jean, and I can still remember how warm and welcoming everyone was. It feels good to give something back.”
Sarah’s mum will also be volunteering at the event and is looking forward to seeing all the smiles, laughter and colours.
Colour Run has been proudly sponsored by Excell Supply, Gulliver’s World, Lightcliffe Skoda, Village Hotel, MKM Building Supplies and McDonalds and is being supported by Warrington Borough Council, Omni-Fit Studio 4102 and ARC Training.
