POLICE in Warrington have issued a warning over a large increase in cycle thefts within the town centre area in particular.
They warn that thieves are targeting bikes with very poor quality locks, which they can remove in seconds.
Ideally, police would recommend a D-lock type lock, as they are much harder to break and provide more security.
Another alternative in the town centre is Warrington Cycle Hub, where you can secure your bike inside and if required, also use the shower facilities, all for only £1. Bike racks are monitored, indoors and very secure.

Police are urging people to make it harder for criminals to steal their property.
