POLICE have today confirmed the arrest of a 45-year-old man after a large police presence attended an assault incident at Dallam, Warrington, on Sunday evening.
At least seven police vehicles were seen responding to an incident on Hetherington Avenue, Dallam, shortly before 8 pm last night.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson today confirmed, “At around 7.50 pm on Sunday 13 April, police were called to reports of an assault in Hetherington Avenue, Warrington.
“A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 47 assault.
“He was further arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and resisting arrest.”
