WARRINGTON will host its first-ever crime festival next year.
The inaugural Warrington Crime Festival will take place on April 19, 2026, at The Village Hotel in Warrington. This highly anticipated event will bring together 20 of the North West’s most prolific dark fiction authors for a day filled with thrilling discussions and literary celebrations.
Join us for a fantastic lineup featuring confirmed guests such as Simon McCleave, the acclaimed author of the Ruth Hunter series—soon to be adapted into a television series—and local favourite Conrad Jones, a prolific writer with 36 novels to his credit, including the best-selling Cuckoos on the Mersey series, currently reigning number one in the British Horror genre.
The festival will include engaging panel interviews, interactive question-and-answer sessions, and opportunities for fans to meet their favorite authors during book signings. Each ticket purchased will include a signed book as well as an exclusive goodie bag packed with exciting surprises.
“We are thrilled to launch the Warrington Crime Festival, which we envision as an annual gathering for crime fiction lovers,” said the event organizers. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for readers to connect with talented authors and celebrate the captivating world of dark fiction.”
