Mosque burglar named

UPDATED: POLICE in Warrington have arrested and charged a man accused of carrying out a burglary at a town centre mosque.

On Monday 7 April police were called to reports of a break-in at a Mosque on Arpley Street.

The caller reported that a mobile phone and jacket had been stolen from the premises.
Following enquiries, a 43-year-old man was arrested in relation to the incident.
David Roberts, of Clapgate Crescent, Widnes, has since been charged with one count of burglary other than a dwelling.
Roberts has been released on police bail and is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates Wednesday 30 April.
