POLICE are investigating the cause of a large grass fire which broke out on land off Kingsway North, Warrington.
Four fire engines were sent to the scene yesterday – from Warrington, Penketh and Lymm.
Firefighters used water jets and beaters to extinguish the blaze which they believed had been started deliberately.
Anyone who knows anything about how the fire started is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
