TWO fire crews were called out on Friday evening following reports of fires in the open at Thelwall, Warrington.
At 19:48 one crew from Penketh was called out to reports of a fire near Ferry Lane.
Firefighters used beaters to extinguish an area of grassland on fire.
Earlier at 19:31 one crew from Lymm was called to another fire in the open near Ferry Lane.
Firefighters used beaters and a hose reel jet to extinguish a fire consisting of shrubbery. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots.
No causes have been given.
