VIOLINIST Pip Clarke will be the featured soloist at the next concert in the Live at St Wilfrid’s programme at Grappenhall.
No stranger to St Wilfrid’s, she will be accompanied on the piano by Havilland Willshire and will present a delightful programme of violin music on Saturday afternoon, March 22 at 2.30 pm.
After studying in Manchester at Chetham’s she moved to the United States and made her professional debut at the Carnegie Hall.
Known for playing in a very romantic and expressive manner, Pip has performed widely across America with many major orchestras, including the Florida, the Colorado Symphony, the Syracuse Symphony, the Utah Symphony, the Honolulu Symphony and the Buffalo Philharmonic.
She made a guest appearance at the opening concert of the Hollywood Bowl and was the featured violin soloist in a major film with Robert de Niro.
In Canada Pip appeared with the Calgary Philharmonic and the Regina Symphony Orchestras. Here in the UK Pip has performed with the London Sinfonia and toured with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
