A NEW look Latchford Albion started their 2025 season with a hard fought victory at Wigan Bulldogs.
With the squad predominantly made up of last year’s under 18’s, the win was a clear sign of the progression and development of the team.
Tries from River Cole (2), Nathan Bond (2) and a debut try for 17 year old Kyle Melvin, along with 6 goals from Will Maguire saw the visitors come away with the two points.
Head coach Sean Bond (pictured) said: “ I was very pleased with that result. Wigan were a very experienced and big side and I thought their game plan was to try and roll us over, but credit to my lads they were up for the challenge, and we had that extra bit of speed and skill needed at critical times to get us the win today. “
Next Saturday (March 15) Latchford host Salford City Roosters A, kick off 2.30pm
