A squad of versatile and engaging netball players smashed the Winter Warrington league, finishing top of PREM in the YEAR 5/6 Division, bagging themselves a Promotion playing up on age group.
They started their Year 7/8 Division 2 (jumping D3/4) which started yesterday, Sunday. Electra fully embrace their sporting family and often create memories off the court too, they are entering Leeds Rhinos Netball tournament in May a full weekend of Matches and Memories!
Electra has players who have been with Nellies Netball since we started back in 2017 and have been playing since pre school. As a unit they support one another. Talent wins games but teamwork and focus wins the league!
Nellies Netball creates a positive and safe environment for everyone to train, play and develop the sport. From preschool through to adults back to sessions across Warrington , Widnes and Halewood (Liverpool) for boys and girls. They are on a mission to lift participant numbers by delivering Bee Netball sessions in local primary schools and introduction into our sport.
They currently have 220 players, 14 Teams who play in the Warrington Sports for all Centres League and Cheshire Junior Netball League across Cheshire on a Sunday, A Back to Netball Team who have recently entered a league in Lymm and their first overseas Netball Tournament in September. Squads from u7s to our adults Ladies Session.
A Sister club, Appleton Netball Club, has talented and committed athletes with 14 teams who play in the Local Warrington League, Cheshire Junior Netball League and Greater Manchester League, from U12s through to U17s, and offers players the chance to gain a nationally recognised Sports Leadership Qualifications, supports an Umpiring Pathway programme and encourages our players to Pass on their Passion with our younger players in the club brought to us by our National awarding body England Netball, recognises the countless volunteering hours.
They also run Netball Camps over the school holidays, offer opportunities to gain a nationally recognised Sports Leadership Qualifications and Young Leaders awards as an accredited centre with Leadership Skills Foundations. Full details on camps via www.nelliesnetball.co.uk
