WARRINGTON Wolves players were greeted with unreal scenes as they attended a fan event ahead of their historic clash with Wigan Warriors in Las Vegas tomorrow, Saturday.
Thousands of fans from both clubs have flown out to cheer on their teams with Warrington Wolves’ Head Coach Sam Burgess describing the scenes as like being in “Hollywood.”
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the match Burgess said: “The guys are in good spirits ahead of the game. Early in the week, it is about acclimitising and getting used to the situation and the surroundings. It’s Hollywreally – It’s Hollywood here!
“There’s a lot of extra things going on.”
One of these was a fan event where the players were greeted with unreal scenes as they received the red carpet treatment.
The team trained with Penrith Panthers ahead of the game, which is one of four being staged at the Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas.
Burgess added: “We’ve got to get our minds on the job now. We are proud and we are ready for probably the biggest occasion in Super League for a while.
“Over in Las Vegas there is certainly a buzz about the place and there is more media here than I saw in the whole of last year!
“It is great for the players to be exposed to that. The players should enjoy what is going to be a great experience for all of them!”
