DETECTIVES investigating an incident where a man was savagely attacked by a dog in Warrington have now charged a man in relation to the incident.
Sean Garner was arrested yesterday (Wednesday) following the incident on Monday (February 24) when an 84-year-old man was attacked by a suspected XL Bully dog on Bardsley Avenue.
The 30-year-old, formerly of Keybank Road, Liverpool, but now of Bardsley Avenue, Dallam, Warrington, has since been charged with one count of being the owner of a dog dangerously out of control causing serious injury and one count of possession of a fighting dog.
Garner has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court later today (Thursday)
A 29-year-old woman who was arrested as part of the investigation has been released on conditional bail.
The victim remains in hospital at this time where his condition is described as critical.
