Lymm ladies hockey on brink of achieving promotion to national pyramid

WHILE Lymm village boasts an incredibly successful men’s rugby union team, plying their trade at Level 4 of the English rugby national pyramid, Lymm’s ladies are on the brink of achieving the same feat, within the English hockey national pyramid.

After an unbeaten run of 11 games stretching back to October last year, Lymm ladies are sitting top of the North West League 1, pushing for a promotion that would take them back to Level 4 of the English hockey national pyramid.
A win this Saturday (Feb 22), at home (Lymm High School) to Golborne & Prescot Ladies who sit in second, would mean that just three wins out of the remaining five games would secure that promotion.
Unfortunately, they can’t offer a bar and food pitch side, but entrance is free and the sport on offer is just as fast and great to watch – so why not come down this Saturday and cheer the women to more sporting greatness.
Push back is at 1.30 pm.
The hockey club offers a thriving mini and junior section, together with fielding 4 Ladies teams and 2 Men’s teams every Saturday.
