THE new Live at St Wilfrid’s concert season starts tomorrow (Thursday) – with a performance by chart-topping classical guitarist Craig Ogden.
Tickets are will available – but organisers are warning attendees to “wrap up warm.”
The heating system at St Wilfrid’s, Grappenhall is currently being upgraded and the church is relying on portable heaters. But these are noisy and will have to be switched off during the actual concert.
A spokesperson for the organisers said: please wrap up in warm clothing on this occasion. However the St Wilfrid’s welcome will be as warm as ever, and we are looking forward to seeing you all again.”
Craig Ogden is currently principal lecturer in guitar at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
He began playing guitar at the age of seven and graduated in music from the University of Western Australia.
In 1990 he became UK-based, and has a Professional Performance Diploma from the Royal Northern College of Music, where in 2004 he received a Fellowship from them, becoming the youngest person to be given the honour.
