TWO alleged shoplifters were arrested following excellent teamwork involving staff at Go Outdoors, CCTV operators, the HQ control room and Warrington Police.
As a result, two males found themselves under arrest for an allegation of Theft from Go Outdoors yesterday afternoon.
It followed an excellent link-up between staff at the shop (using the Town-Link Radio), Warrington CCTV, the HQ Control Room and patrols who were in the right place at the right time. Their attempted sharp exit in their van came to an end on the A49 Winwick Road near Tesco.
The two males were also arrested for an allegation of Going Equipped to Steal (Magnetic Detagger) and the driver also faces an allegation of Drug Driving.
