A drink drive suspect stopped by police at Great Sankey, Warrington, was almost FIVE times the limit following a road-side breath test.

Officers from the Warrington West beat team arrested the male in the Great Sankey area on Friday night after he sped off in his car when they pulled up next to him.

After stopping him a short distance later it became obvious why he was reluctant to speak to the the officers. He was over the drink drive limit, blowing 150 at the road-side, just under FIVE times the legal drink drive limit of 35.
He has since been charged and will appear in court in the near future.

In another incident on January 20, two males from the St Helens were arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle after stealing a motorbike from an address in the Great Sankey area.
The owner of the motorbike alerted officers to the theft and the males were stopped a short time later on Sankey Valley Park, the bike was recovered and returned to it’s owner.
