HOME-Start Warrington & Cheshire has been awarded £399,511 from the National Lottery Community Fund.
The grant will be distributed over the next four years and will enable the charity to extend its vital support to families across Warrington, Northwich, and Winsford.
It will have a significant impact on the lives of local families, enabling Home-Start to help those in need and ensure that every child has the best start in life. The funding will provide support in several key areas:
• Supporting Children’s Health: Ensuring children grow up in safe, healthy environments.
• Supporting Parents: Offering vital help for parents to enhance their own well-being.
• Fighting Isolation: Connecting families with others in their community to reduce loneliness.
• Encouraging Socialisation: Providing opportunities for children to make friends and develop social skills.
•
With this funding, Home-Start will be able to provide assistance to 400 families each year. The charity anticipates that 95 per cent of families supported will experience improvements in both mental and physical health, as well as a stronger sense of community connection.
The £399,511 grant will support the following key initiatives:
• Expanding the volunteer network by recruiting and training additional volunteers to directly support families.
• Reaching even more families in need of help, especially those who face the greatest challenges.
• Building stronger, more resilient communities by encouraging connections and reducing social isolation.
Looking to the future Home-Start Warrington & Cheshire the charity looks forward to seeing the positive and lasting impact on the lives of children and parents in the area.
