A MUCH loved independent boutique clothes shop in Stockton Heath, Warrington, has announced it has closed its doors with immediate effect less than a month after Christmas.

Announcing the sudden closure on Instagram, Stockton Heath boutique Sorelle posted the update on Tuesday night after a decade trading in the village.

It said: “It’s with a heavy heart that I send this message that I let you know that we’ve had to close the shop with immediate effect.
“Thank you so much for your continued support and your custom over the last 10 years.
“It’s been a pleasure to make so many friends.
“Unfortunately with the downturn in retail trends and current economic climate it’s forced us to make a business decision.
“I look forward to being in contact with you in the future.”
Sorelle in the heart of the village on Walton Road was a popular boutique selling fashionable festival clothing and accessories.
It is not known what will happen with the premises.

Responding to the message, neighbouring Springs Health and Beauty expressed their sadness at the news.
The boutique was described as “a valuable part of our local community and your presence will be deeply missed.”
Other local retailers, including Bethany Hannah Bridal and Saffys Sandwich Shop on Walton Road also expressed their support for the boutique.
Many other customers wrote messages supporting the boutique proprietor and wishing her all the best for the future.
