PLANS to change the use of a disused warehouse at Appleton Thorn have been submitted to Warrington Borough Council.
The scheme involves Lexia House in Lyncastle Way and would involve the building becoming part warehouse and part offices.
Previously used for storage, the building is currently not in use, planners have been told.
The site is close to the M6/M56 junction so has good access to the wider area. It has a parking scheme in place so alterations will be required to existing landscaping. Vehicle and pedestrian access would continue to be from Lyncastle Road.
There is also a rear access from Lyncastle Way.
The area is dominated by industrial units. The existing structure fits well with the other surrounding buildings and does not require any extensive changes, say the applicants. The proposal will represent a continuation of the existing built form along Lyncastle Road.
High standard physical security would b incorporated in the design of proposed new doors and windows.
Planning officers are now studying the proposals
