CCTV appeal after man hit on head with broomstick at rear of restaurant on Bridge Street

POLICE have issued a CCTV image of a man they are looking to speak to after a man was hit on the head with a broomstick behind a restaurant on Bridge Street, Warrington.

At around 10.15 pm on Friday 4 October, the victim, a 27-year-old man, was with two women in an alleyway at the rear of a restaurant on Bridge Street, when he was hit on the head with a broomstick by an unknown man.
The victim sustained a laceration to his forehead as a result of the incident.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation officers have now released a CCTV image of a man they are looking to speak to.

PC McAufield, of Warrington Local Policing Unit, said:“Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and as part of our investigation, we are keen to speak to the man in the CCTV images as we believe he may hold important information.
“Anyone who recognises the man is urged to contact us on 101, or visit www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, quoting 24000849832.
“I would also like to appeal directly to the man in the CCTV images to get in touch.”
