POLICE would like to identify two men alleged to be involved in ‘skimming’ attacks on an ATM cash machine in Warrington Town Centre on Wednesday December 4.

It is alleged that they have attached a skimmer to an ATM and then retreated to observe. An unsuspecting member of the public has used the ATM and immediately his card was grabbed.

As soon as he left, the male in the black cap has gone to the ATM, took his device and the card. It was used to withdraw in excess of £400 nearby. They soon tried to make a further purchase at nearby ASDA but the card owner had cancelled it.

A police spokesperson said: “These males clearly know their business and are most likely travelling to carry it out.”
