AN 11-year-old Great Sankey boy is taking on a festive fundraising challenge to raise money for Warrington Youth Zone’s Christmas appeal.
Lennie White will run, dressed as Santa, from his home to the Youth Zone seven times in seven days – a distance of about 25 miles.
His personal “Santa Dash” is not the first fundraising act he has done for the Youth Zone. Over the years he has raised thousands of pounds for the charity through various challenges.
Last year on his 10th birthday, Lennie chose to climb Snowdon rather than open presents, because he knew that some children didn’t receive presents on their birthday and he wanted to help.
Since then, Lennie has continued to do amazing challenges to raise awareness and money for the Youth Zone, who say they “couldn’t be prouder” of his latest fundraising efforts.
He is hoping to raise £750, in support of the Youth Zone’s Christmas Appeal.
