A COMMUNITY organisation is hosting a speed dating event for singles in Warrington town centre – with the aim of reducing loneliness locally.
“Fast flirting” will be held at Dorado Lounge, Golden Square on Thursday, December 12 as a one-off event to raise some funds for host group Activity Angels.
A relatively new group, Activity Angels hold group activity sessions in different venues around Warrington. Sessions are for adults of all ages and have a main aim to help people connect and reduce feelings of loneliness within the community.
Megan Hems, community activity lead, who has organised the whole Fast Flirting event, said: “We are super excited to bring Warrington this special night. Lots of planning and preparations have gone into ensuring everyone will feel welcome, and enjoy a lovely evening meeting new people locally. Spreadsheets galore have been designed, so that we can ensure everyone gets their speed dating results and any matches sent across after our event as smoothly as possible.
“There’ll be free Prosecco on arrival, and we’re also holding a Xmas raffle with fantastic prizes on the night too! We can’t wait to welcome everyone!”
