A paedophile from Warrington who breached a court order by living in a property with three children has been jailed.
Ethan Moran aged 24, was jailed in October 2022 for sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl and he also had to sign on the Sex Offenders Register for ten years.
Liverpool Crown Court heard last Friday that after his release he breached the terms of the order by living with a family member and her children – which came to light after his own mother told police of his whereabouts.
Paul Blasbery, prosecuting, explained that police officers called at his mother’s home while searching for a missing person on September 12 this year.
She told them that Moran then, of Vulcan Close, Warrington, had been living with a relative and her three children since May.
Mr Blasbery said that he had failed to notify Cheshire Police of this as he was obliged to do under the terms of the register.
Moran, who now lives in Blackpool, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the notification requirements.
Jailing him for six months Judge Anil Murray said, “The order was made in order to keep you separate from children, even if their parents were unwise enough to allow you to have access with them.”
Defence barrister Sarah Griffin said he was relatively immature and had mental health difficulties.
Since the offence he has moved to Blackpool and immediately informed the police of his new address.
“He has demonstrated that he has learned his lesson.”
Miss Griffin said that he has found full-time employment at the Coyote Ugly bar in Blackpool as a chef. He lives in the town with his fiancée and her mother and partner.
“This is a defendant who has done his best to turn his life around,” she added.
