Weekend Wonderland set to continue despite challenging weather forecast

WARRINGTON’S Weekend Wonderland is set to go ahead this weekend with a revised programme, ensuring the celebrations can continue despite the challenging weather forecast.

Thanks to quick thinking and collaboration from local businesses and organisers, adjustments have been made to create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

The popular Independents Markets will now be held at Golden Square Shopping Centre, providing visitors with a sheltered space to shop local, enjoy festive treats, and find unique gifts.
At Time Square, Warrington Market and other local businesses have stepped in to host a range of activities, including live music from the Twisted Tubes and surprise appearances by the Grinch. Performances by the Katumba Drummers and Silk Street Jazz Band will also pop up around the town centre on Saturday, bringing festive cheer as visitors explore.
Santa’s Grotto at Hatters Row will continue as planned, giving families a chance to meet Santa in a magical setting, with limited spaces still available for Saturday and Sunday.

While Saturday’s wet and windy forecast made some outdoor setups impractical, these changes mean the festivities can still go ahead. The efforts of local businesses and organisations highlight the town’s commitment to creating a memorable event for both residents and visitors.

  1. Don’t waste your money in Warrington jump in your care and travel to Chester
They have a lovely large market outside the Town Hall with plenty of different type of stalls .you can use the covered rows to avoid the weather and walk to The Grosvenor precinct if you need to.
