APPLETON will play in Division 2 of the Cheshire Women’s Cricket League next year – the first time they have not been in the top flight.
The four-times Division 1 champions had a disappointing season and never looked like competing for the title.
Appleton 2nd will play in Division 3, which is likely to comprise two regional divisions.
Grappenhall and Lymm Oughtrington Park will both play in Division 4, which is likely to be split into three regional divisions.
