VARIOUS road closures will be in force across Warrington this Sunday for Remembrance Day parades.
Road closures in and around Warrington town centre will be in force from 8 am to 1 pm for the Warrington Remembrance Day Parade from the town hall to the cenotaph on Bridgefoot.
Road closures will also be in place at Appleton, Culcheth, Grappenhall, Lymm, Penketh & Sankey and Stockton Heath.
Warrington Borough Council has given notice on the occasion of the above mentioned event, no cart, carriage, motor car, lorry or any other vehicle (excepting vehicles taking part in the event, Police, Ambulance, Fire Service vehicles and Mail Carts) and no horses or other animal will be allowed to remain in or travel along or over any of the undermentioned streets when being used by the remembrance day parades as indicated below. The undermentioned streets will be closed between the hours specified when it is required to do so to allow for the safe passage of the parades.

The restrictions will only be in place to allow for the safe passage of the parades with access under the control of the event organiser for the duration of the event.
Bicycles and Tricycles are included in the term “vehicle” and must not be ridden through any of the named streets during the hours specified. Any person wilfully acting in contravention of the above Order will be liable to a penalty not exceeding £400.
