A male in his 30s has been arrested after a female volunteer police officer suffered a fractured nose and black eye after attending a neighbour dispute in Warrington.

The officer from Warrington Police LPU was assaulted when police were conducting an arrest after a neighbour dispute.

A male in his 30s decided he thought it was an acceptable idea to elbow her in the face whilst trying to get away, fracturing her nose and giving her a swollen black eye.
He was swiftly arrested, taken to custody and will be interviewed for any offences including the assault.

Warrington Police posted on social media: “SC Hart volunteers as a Police Officer in her spare time to keep people safe, she has for nearly 3 years. Assaulting an officer whilst they are trying to do their duty is simply unacceptable.
“We wish her a quick and speedy recovery!”

Police were called to the incident on Pasture Lane, Warrington at 1.55pm on Saturday 2 November.
A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 39 assault, assaulting an emergency worker, and using threatening and abusive language.
He has since been released on bail.
