Up to eight weeks of road closures on Warrington Road at Culcheth

UP to eight weeks of road works are set to start on Warrington Road at Culcheth from August 19th.

The sceduled works are for carriageway resurfacing the the A574 Warrington Road from its junction with Holcroft Lane near Culcheth High School to Millbrook Close near Glazebury.

The works will be from 7pm until 1am to help ease traffic congestion.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: A574 Warrington Road from its junction with Holcroft Lane to its junction with Millbrook Close; From A574 Warrington Road for 50 metres along the following lengths of road: Eden Avenue; Ravenfield Close; Fowley Common Lane; Hey Shoot Lane.

The Order will be effective from 19th August 2024 for 8 weeks, between 7pm and 1am, as and when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via A580 East Lancashire Road, A572 Newton Road, B5207 Kenyon Lane, B5207 Wilton Lane, B5207 Broseley Lane, B5207 Common Lane and vice versa. The restrictions are required for carriageway resurfacing.
