Community cinema launched at Grappenhall

GRAPPENHALL Community Centre is launching an exciting new Community Cinema with the aim to show films once a month in the Olde Barn.

The new local community cinema can offer the best value for catching up on recent releases, old favourites and age-appropriate specials.  Enjoy a relaxed viewing experience in a local venue which has licensed bar facilities and ample free car parking.
Tickets will be available in the Bellhouse Pub for £5 for adults and £3 for children or online at www.wegottickets.com for £5.50 and £3.30 (including booking charge).  Drinks, snacks and individual tubs of ice cream from Cheshire Farms Ice Cream will be available to purchase throughout the film from the Olde Barn Bar.  Films will be shown on a new state of the art screen with surround sound to enjoy the full cinema experience.

Wednesday 24th April, 7.30pm  – THE MIRACLE CLUB [12]                             (Running time 90 minutes)
Three close friends who have never left the outskirts of Dublin (much less Ireland) get the journey of a lifetime – a visit to Lourdes, the picturesque French town and place of miracles.  A heartfelt story of friendship, family and forgiveness.  Genre: Comedy, Drama.

Wednesday 15th May, 7.30pm   – THE HOLDOVERS [15]                                  (Running time 133 minutes)
The Holdovers follow a curmudgeonly instructor at a New England prep school who is forced to remain on campus during Christmas break to babysit the handful of students with nowhere to go.  Eventually he forms an unlikely bond with one of them – a damaged, brainy troublemaker and with the school’s head cook, who has just lost a son in Vietnam.  Genre: Comedy, Drama.
