Man charged following speeding electric motorbike offences in town centre

A 23-year-old man has been charged with driving offences following several incidents involving an electric motorbike travelling at speed through a pedestrianised area of Warrington town centre.

Daniel Wright, of Roebuck Plaza, Warrington, was arrested on Wednesday 13 March.

He has since been charged with two counts of driving without due care, two counts of driving without insurance and two counts of driving otherwise than in accordance of a licence.
He was also arrested and charged for possession of cannabis.
Wright has since been bailed to appear Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Monday 22 April.

The charges relate to a number of incidents in January and February where a Sur-Ron electric motorbike was seen travelling at speed through a pedestrianised area of Warrington town centre.
