Man who denies sexual assault on young girl on bus remanded in custody pending trial

A man today who denied sexually assaulting a young child on a bus in Warrington has been remanded in custody pending his trial.

Mukhtar Balogh pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting a girl under 13 by touching on February 18 this year when he appeared at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday, Tuesday.

The allegation relates to an incident reported on the number three bus service from Warrington Bus Station to Martinscroft when he was a passenger.

The 31-year-old, whose address was listed on court documents as Garden Court Hotel on Woolston Grange Avenue, Warrington, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court via video link from prison.

He pleaded not guilty and Judge Garrett Byrne further remanded him in custody to await his trial beginning on August 5.
