PUPILS at Warrington’s Sir Thomas Boteler Church of England High School were delighted to host an all-day event with published local writer Kate Martin on World Book Day, to celebrate creative writing.

The event hoped to inspire each student to develop their love of words and powers of expression.

Kate writes fiction but from personal experience. Students and staff said they were moved by her novel Are you OK, Elliot Hart? with many of the students keen to develop ideas from their writing session with Kate much further.

Watch out for the next generation of Boteler writers!
