Fire crews attend cooker fire at Culcheth

FIRE crews were called out to reports of a cooker fire at a residential property at Culcheth, Warrington.

At 17:41 yesterday, Saturday, one fire engine from Lymm supported by crews from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were called to a domestic property on Withington Avenue, affected by smoke, but with a fire contained only to the cooker.

They carried out a full safety check with the occupier and fitted a heat detector in the kitchen.
