Firefighters called to large vehicle fire on M56

FIREFIGHTERS from Lymm were called out following reports of a large vehicle fire on the M56 near Warrington earlier today, Wednesday.

At 13:26 one crew from Lymm was called to reports of a large HGV on fire between  Junctions 9-10 west.

Overheated brakes on the large vehicle were cooled by firefighters using a hose reel jet as other members of the crew fended off vehicles as the incident was dealt with.
