Temporary 30mph speed limit set to start on Winwick Link Road

A temporary 30mph speed limit is set to come into force on the Winwick Link Road this Thursday (Feb 20) as part of highway aleration works for the Parkside development.

The temporary speed limit could be in force until the end of the year.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce a 30 miles per hour speed limit restriction on Winwick Link Road from its junction with Newton Road to its junction with Winwick Lane.
The Order will be effective from 22nd February 2024 to 31st December 2024, as and when signed on site. The restrictions are required to allow for alterations works to be carried out to the M6 junction 22 as part of the Parkside Development.
