THE cast of Quadrophenia are reuniting in Warrington to celebrate 45 years since the release of the British cult classic.
Phil Daniels (Jimmy), Leslie Ash (Steph), Mark Wingett (Dave), Trevor Laird (Ferdy) and Daniel Peacock (Danny) will be taking to the stage at Parr Hall on Friday, 19 July, to revisit the Mod way of life.
They will be sharing their experiences and behind-the-scenes stories of making the hit film and there will also be a Q&A and the chance for premium ticket holders to have their picture taken with all five actors.
Loosely based on The Who’s rock opera concept album of the same name, Quadrophenia was released in 1979 and was met with popular and critical acclaim for its gritty portrayal of teenage life during the era of the Mods and the Rockers.
The film focuses on Jimmy Cooper, a working class young Mod who hates his job and has a difficult relationship with his parents. But, by night, he finds solace and community partying with his scooter-riding friends.
Then comes the Brighton Scooter Run where the Mods and Rockers converge and Jimmy’s life is turned upside down.
Organiser Hayden Gahgan, Director of Showman Events, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing the Quadrophenia cast back together for this special night at Parr Hall which will be a must for any fan.
“It’s hard to believe this classic film was released 45 years ago. Decades on, it remains a firm favourite of so many people and the story still has the same impact after all this time. We can’t wait to see everyone in July.”
