WARRINGTON & Vale Royal College’s Marketing Team has been awarded silver at a national awards competition in recognition of its role in the college’s recent unprecedented growth.

The Further Education First Awards celebrates the achievements of marketing teams and individuals in colleges and sixth forms from across the UK.
The winners were announced at the annual awards dinner at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Birmingham, following the College Marketing Network’s annual conference.
Warrington & Vale Royal College was awarded ‘Silver’ in the category of Marketing Team of the Year (Large Team).

The College Marketing Network, which runs the awards, said there had been a record number of entries for the 2024 competition. Organisers said Warrington & Vale Royal College was among a list of ‘remarkable winners who have set the bar high in the education sector’.
Director of Marketing & Admissions, Nicola Meredith, said: “The Team and I are absolutely thrilled to have brought home the silver medal. We are a relatively new team and it is the first time we have entered the awards so we are delighted to have received such high-profile recognition.
The team truly have cause for celebration – they have played a significant role in the college’s recent unprecedented growth. In the last year, the college witnessed the highest open evening attendances on record, the largest-ever Year 10 taster day season, and a record number of 16-18 applications. In addition to this, supporting the college’s sustainability objectives, the Marketing Team made the ground-breaking decision to convert its usual hundred-page print prospectus to a personalised and sustainable digital prospectus. As the first college in the North West to make this transformation, the team was proud to be a driving force of change in further education.

Testament to the Marketing Team’s success, at the end of the 2023 summer term, the team was awarded ‘Outstanding Business Support Team of the Year’ at the college’s Outstanding Staff Awards. It is the ultimate achievement for the team to be recognised externally, in the FE First awards, and the college and I couldn’t be prouder.”
