POLICE patrols were out in force in the Great Sankey area of Warrington last night warning residents of opportunist thieves operating in the area stealing from parked vehicles.

Officers from Warrington West were out and about offering advice regarding locking car doors and keeping vehicles secure.

Sadly opportunist thieves are active around the Warrington area trying car doors and they find lots that are left open.

Yesterday evening police found 10 car doors unlocked on Warrington West.
A Police spokesperson said: “We highly recommend following the 9 pm Routine.
“Check your sheds are locked check your doors and windows are locked and press those fobs and check your cars are locked.
“No opportunity means no thefts!”
