Police tackle dangerous parking outside school

1

POLICE at Orford, Warrington, have been tackling dangerous parking outside a local primary school.

It follows issues raised by local residents in this month’s Resident’s Voice survey involving parking around St Ann’s Primary School, especially during pick up times.

PCSOs have been out and about this afternoon (Tuesday) moving vehicles on that were parked dangerously. One vehicle was handed an advisory for dangerous parking.

A police spokesperson said: “We will be working with the school and the council to come up with a more long-term solution to these issues – in the mean time please be considerate to local residents and do not block driveways, or park on junctions. This poses a real danger to other vehicles and pedestrians.”

To have your say on parking or any other local issues please take a few minutes to fill in the below survey:

Meanwhile, Orford PCSOs will be present outside Orford Jubilee Hub this Sunday 28th January from 14:30-15:30 for a mobile surgery. They will also be providing bike marking and general crime prevention advice. If you have any local concerns you would like to discuss with an officer please pop down.
