A large quantity of drugs was seized by police after two men who had been throwing bottles in the road at Padgate were arrested by police.

On Friday morning local PCSOs were alerted by a member of the public of two males in the Hilden Road (Poulton North) area throwing bottles into the road.

Upon arrival, the PCSOs recognised the males and kept them there until response officers arrived. The males were searched and a large quantity of drugs were found in their possession. The males were subsequently arrested and will now be dealt with appropriately.

A police spokesperson said: “This is a great example of the community, PCSOs and PCs working together to make Warrington a safer place. Well done to all involved.”
