Domestic assault suspect crashed into parked cars when more than four times drink driving limit

A domestic assault suspect was more than FOUR times the drink driving limit when he crashed into at least five parked cars at Orford, Warrington last night.

On a busy night for Warrington police officers were called to a collision on Mendip Avenue, Orford, shortly before 10 pm following reports of a collision.

Officers attended and found a silver BMW 320D had collided with at least five parked cars.
The driver of the car was arrested at the scene for drink driving after failing a breath test.
In custody, he blew 157, which is nearly four and a half times the legal limit. The male complained that he would have to spend the night in custody when he was lucky to have walked away uninjured.
The 41-year-old local man was also arrested on suspicion of assault in relation to a domestic matter.
The man remains in custody at this time.
Meanwhile on a busy night officers from B block attended a range of incidents.
Arrests were made for several incidents including domestics, where vulnerable victims have been safeguarded.
