Road closed after collision involving teenage girl and car

WARRINGTON Road at Culcheth was closed this morning following a collision involving a teenage girl and a car.

The girl’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

As a result of the incident there were significant traffic delays in the area.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At 7.18am on Tuesday 12 December police were called to reports of a collision on Warrington Road, Culcheth.
Officers attended and found that a teenage girl had been involved in a collision with a car, a grey Volkswagen Polo.
The teenager has been treated by paramedics at the scene and is expected to be taken to hospital. Her injuries are not believed to have sustained any life threatening or life changing.
No arrests have been made and officers remain in attendance at the scene at this time.

The road is now re-open.
