STAFF members from a Warrington opticians took part in Tatton Park’s 10k run to raise funds for their chosen charity, Alzheimer’s UK.

Optical director Charlotte Supria, co-director Jonny Fullalove, and clinical co-ordinator Rachael Ollier from Specsavers Warrington Home Visits team raised £383 for Alzheimer’s UK, a charity which helps to support people living with dementia and funds research into the disease.
The challenge took place at Tatton Park recently, with 800 people taking part.

Charlotte said : ‘As part of the home visits team, many of our patients are living with dementia, which is often one of the reasons they need us to come to them. Seeing so many wonderful people every day suffering from the disease, our team felt moved to play a part in raising donations to fight it.
‘I’m so proud of our team members who chose to take on the challenge, and we all couldn’t be happier with our donation total!’

November marked 10 years since Specsavers launched its home visit services which has allowed customers unable to reach a store’s physical location to access optical care in the community.
