CULCHETH Tennis Club – part of the village’s Daten Club – has launched a crowdfunding initiative to raise urgently needed funding.
The aim is to provide inclusive, enjoyable and affordable social and league tennis and coaching for all ages and abilities.
But they need to raise money to sustain and enhance the not-for-profit club.
A club spokesperson said: “This crucial support will fortify our club’s infrastructure, ensuring year-round access and upgraded facilities.
“We’re thrilled to announce the backing of Sport England’s ‘Active Together,’ pledging to match £4,500 if we meet our £15,000 target.
“This initiative means the world to both our club and the local community. Our goal is to involve the youth, providing them with productive evening and weekend activities.
“While our community volunteers have valiantly cleaned the courts, a professional touch remains imperative for their upkeep.
“Our Crowdfunding page serves as a platform to gather funds, offering diverse rewards to supporters, from discounted lessons/memberships to café vouchers.”
