LYMM Parish Council is seeking volunteer stewards to sign up for the annual Remembrance Day Parade on Sunday 12th November.

The Remembrance Day Parade will assemble from a different location from previous years. This year, the parade will assemble along Brookfield Road between Eagle Brow
and Church Road (opposite Lakeside) from 9 a.m., on the section of Brookfield Road by Lymm Lawn Tennis Club.

Uniformed groups and other participants, including Warrington Brass Band, will proceed with the march at 9.30 a.m. along Church Road arriving at St Mary’s Church in time for a 10 a.m. civic service. All are welcome to spectate along the parade route and to join the church service.

The wreath laying and the observation of silence will take place at 11 am in the grounds of St Mary’s. The parade will reassemble and march back along the same route at
around 11.20 a.m., dispersing from Brookfield Road.
Road closures will be in place from 9 a.m. however Eagle Brow and Rectory Lane will remain open to vehicles throughout the parade and service.
Lymm Parish Council is seeking volunteers to help steward the procession. If you can spare your morning for a good cause and you are interested, please complete
the online registration form here and staff will be in touch. CLICK HERE
Remembrance Sunday is an important part of Lymm’s calendar and is an opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms
and protected our way of life. This includes members of the Armed Forces and their families from Britain and the Commonwealth, along with the vital role played by the
emergency services as well as those who have lost their lives as a result of conflict or terrorism. In Lymm, this also includes the eleven students from Lymm Grammar
School who lost their lives in during the First World War. Their memorial can be found on Limefield Avenue where a wreath will also be placed.
