Police issue flood warning over various roads at Lymm

POLICE have issued a flood warning over various roads at Lymm, with some blocked and inaccessible.

The worst locations as of 10pm last night were:
– Stockport Road near Warrington Road junction – Traffic lights and single line traffic but still flooding on that road
– Oughtrington Lane near Longbutt Lane junction – The road is completely flooded & blocked and inaccessible
– Massey Brook Lane near Booths Hill Road junction – Road is completely flooded & blocked and inaccessible
– Lymm Road near Stockport Road junction – Road is completely flooded & blocked and inaccessible
Police are advising motorists to take care when driving around with lots of water lying on the road, watch your speed and be aware of the above roads and try and find alternative routes.
No further rainfall is forecast today so it is hoped the roads will soon be clear.
