WARRINGTON Wolves’ new Head Coach Sam Burgess is expected to arrive in town this Friday as work continues building for the season ahead with the official launch of the club’s 2024 memberships.

They come on the back of the average attendance increasing by around 25 per cent last season, despite some disappointing results.

An average of 10,891 fans packed out the stands at The Halliwell Jones Stadium across the 13 regular season Betfred Super League fixtures. It was the highest average attendance since 2019 before the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pinnacle was reached in the Round 9 clash against Wigan Warriors which attracted a record home Super League attendance at The Halliwell Jones Stadium of 15,026 spectators.
There has also been a rise in younger fans in the town enjoying the thrill of live Rugby League. The new ‘Wolf Pack Memberships’ saw 1,516 Under 12s become part of the pack. The two ‘Kid for a Quid’ matches, which saw juniors attend for just £1 in the West Stand against Catalans Dragons and Wakefield Trinity, attracted crowds in the “away terrace” of 1,694 and 1,193 respectively.

Meanwhile, while the signing of Sam Burgess surprised many, he has already been building for the new season and instrumental in making some new signings.

He features in the 2024 Membership campaign on social media stating “The strength of the Wolf is the pack” highlighting the importance of the fans.
