Rural Crime Team investigate reports of poaching and lamping

THE Rural Crime Team has been out and about in the Burtonwood and Winwick areas of Warrington following reports of possible poaching and lamping activity during the hours of darkness.

Local police have received a few reports of suspicious behaviour possibly poaching /lamping in the area around Burtonwood and Winwick.

The Rural Crime Team is aware and has been carrying out patrols in the area at night and did disturb a group earlier this week.
If you see anything suspicious please report via 101 for the attention of the Rural Crime Team.

Lamping is a form of hunting at night, during which bright lights or lamps are used to dazzle the hunted animal.
