EXHILARATION, laughter and new memories filled the atmosphere at Gulliver’s World, as more than 1,400 members of the autistic community spent the day as part of a takeover by The A World UK.

The entire theme park and hotel at Gulliver’s World was handed over to the Salford-based not-for-profit organisation, which exists to support the autistic community across the north of England, to offer a safe and quiet space for the community to relax and have fun.
The sell out takeover event – the third of its kind – took just hours to be fully booked, with attendees and families keen to spend time at the event which provided an environment for those who understand living with autism.

Adam Howell, managing director at The A World UK, said: “To celebrate the third take over event like this at Gulliver’s World was fantastic once again for all of the autistic community who could fully enjoy the theme park.
“We had more than 1,400 attendees which was a wonderful turnout once again and guests commented on how being able to relax and have fun together in a peaceful setting made the world of difference. The staff at Gulliver’s were kind and welcoming to everybody and we’re thrilled to have nurtured a relationship with the team there who make everyone feel comfortable and confident.”
Craig Clews, resort director at Gulliver’s World, said: “It’s always a wonderful day when we welcome The A World UK back to Gulliver’s World, and the autistic community has the opportunity to have a great time together while the park is a little quieter.
“Theme parks can be quite crowded sometimes in a setting where queuing is normal, so to relieve those pressures and offer The A World UK and families a comfortable experience full of joy is very fulfilling for us and our team.”

The next A World UK take over event is set to take place at Gulliver’s World later in the year. For further information about Gulliver’s World, visit www.gulliversworld.co.uk For more information about The A World CIC, visit www.theaworlduk.com
